Getting started
Teaching
- Basic ideas for content creationCourses are units of info pages, quizzes, guided practice, and topic chats built from your own materials.
- What is a course timeframe?A timeframe is a cohort window so the same course can run for different groups without mixing progress.
- Course timeframes in your organizationAdmins can keep multiple timeframes so classes start and end on different dates.
- How do I manage course timeframes?Open the course Settings tab to add, rename, or switch the active timeframe.
- Switching between cohortsUse the timeframe switcher to move between cohorts without leaving the course.
- Guided practice: concept and creationGuided practice has a conclusion, feedback, and analytics. Use it for open-ended work, not casual chat.
- What is topic chat?Topic chat is an open assistant without formative scoring — useful for FAQs or school policies.
- Generate a quiz from existing materialsUpload a document, text, or video and LeadingEasy drafts questions, answers, and explanations.
- Which files can I upload for quiz generation?Use a clean source file. LeadingEasy reads the text and builds a quiz from it.
- Can I use multiple files?Yes. Combine related sources when you want the quiz to cover more than one document.
- Can I generate a quiz from a video?Paste a video link. LeadingEasy analyzes the transcript and drafts questions.
- What should I tell the AI when generating a quiz?Describe the topic, the level, and what students should be able to do after the quiz.
- Can I edit a quiz after it is created?Yes. Open the quiz in the course structure and edit questions, answers, or explanations.
- Good instructions for quiz generationSay which aspects matter, the language, and whether you want a short text plus questions.
- How do I modify generated materials?Review the draft, then edit the teaching text or individual questions before you publish.
Directory & enrolment
- Directory: the basic ideaThe directory holds groups and users for your institution so you can enrol them in courses.
- How do I create a group?Open Directory → Groups and create a group, then add learners or sync from your LMS.
- How do I enrol a group in a course? On the course Enrol tab, add a directory group so every member gets access.
- Automatic synchronisationWhen your LMS is connected, group membership can stay in sync without a manual import.
- Groups and individual studentsEnrol a whole group or add a single learner when someone joins late.
- Automatic import of groupsConnected organisations can pull groups from the LMS instead of creating them by hand.
- Directory overviewDirectory shows every group and user at your institution. Open it from the main menu.
- How do students access a course? After enrolment they sign in at leadingeasy.com, or open the iOS app, and land in the course world.
